We Love Our Eagleson Landscape Co. Community

One of the best parts of being in business for over 30 years is the relationships we have created with our clients. A few years back, we wrote a blog about one of our longest clients, Patty Koehler. Unfortunately, Patty passed away last fall. She will be greatly missed by the Eagleson Landscape Co. family.

Patty was a customer of ours before Eagleson Landscape Co. was a business! Bill has known her since grade school; he and other the neighborhood kids used to play in the empty field that became her home. Needless to say, they were a little miffed when she “took away” their playground. It all worked out though – they used the scrap wood from the build to create amazing forts!

Bill’s mom and Patty were active in the PTO together and became good friends. Bill reconnected with her when he was at Allisonville Nursery, and he completed some side jobs for her. When Bill started the business, Patty became one of his first clients, doing yearly seasonal maintenance and plantings over the years. According to Bill, “We were friends. She encouraged me and when I started the business, her comment was ‘What took you so long?’ She was always very supportive.”

“We had been doing her lawn maintenance right up until the end – over 35 years. She would call me up and refer to herself as a bother, which of course she never was. My family and I are deeply saddened by her passing. We know she lived a good life, surrounded by family and friends.”

It is relationships like Patty’s that make the Eagleson Landscape Team love our work and our community.

Another aspect of the community that we are honored to be a part of is the Angel of Hope Memorial Garden project. This nationwide program creates special places where people who have lost children can grieve. The first garden we were a part of is in Noblesville, which you can learn more about here. We are currently working on the Fishers memorial, located in Heritage Park. We have installed the patio and sidewalk, and once we have a window of good weather, we will install the landscaping. Then the angel arrives. If you are interested in supporting the creation of the memorial, you can purchase a brick for the walkway, which can be personalized. Click here to learn more. We’ll have pics of the finished product later this spring!
