Eagleson Landscape Co. is proud to tell everyone a member of our family was recently married to a wonderful man this weekend!  We wish them both the very best in this new journey they have started together.  I thought in honor of their splendid fall wedding, this weeks Plant of the Week would be one of the most iconic and beautiful plants in the world.  This weeks Plant of the Week is the Chrysanthemum.

A simply stunning specimen the Chrysanthemum, or just mum, blooms profusely late into the season.  There are many varieties available to the gardener, meaning there are countless shapes, sizes, colors, bloom times and bloom types to choose from.  Being very easy to grow the mum is a wonderful quick boost of color to add to landscape.  Requiring very little maintenance to get the most from them makes this great for even a novice gardener.  Simply provide full sun, drier soil(this doesn’t mean you can skip watering!), and as the flowers finish and die off, pinch off the old blooms to encourage new growth and flowering.

I would argue that the Chrysanthemum is the best blast of color in the industry and every homeowner should take advantage of its beauty in their yard.  This wonderful plant is beautiful and stands for optimism, joy, long life and fidelity.  Truly a plant that will uplift your home in mind and body!  Read more about this wonderful plant here.
