What a crazy experience!  Now as for this weeks plant of the week, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to a shrub known for its intense spring blooming.  This week we will be discussing the Azalea!
The Azalea is a beautiful shrub that does well as a stand alone plant or planted in a mass. Â Sporting many different bloom colors and coming in a vast array of sizes makes utilizing this plant simple! Â Care is also relatively simple. Â The Azalea should be planted in spring in an area with partial shade and well drained acidic soil. Â Prune the shrub after it is done blooming to ensure the plant is kept a suitable shape and health. Â Always remember to water and mulch around your plants as well! Â When given the proper treatment Azaleas explode in a mass of bloom that covers every inch of the plant!
